Bunkface @ i-City

Punk has been around since the 70’s, Bunkface brought it back to mainstream indie music scene in Malaysia.

without any help of major label, Bunkface has successfully penetrate malaysian music market. Their performance was superb! With punk attitude, they drove the crowd pretty neatly. Interaction with the crowd was continuous. Their songs are guitar oriented songs, heavy riffing and short solos. They have songs in both Malay and English. Checkout more about Bunkface at Facebook, follow on Twitter or Myspace and also checkout their official website.

The venue was pretty bright. ISO1600, 1/320sec at f/2.8. The setting changes according to the light situation. The smoke machine made the lighting looks very cool. Just be careful with the smoke, sometime it tricks your camera. If the smoke was too thick, it makes it harder to focus on the subject. Sometime in concert, despite all the crazy fast-paced stuff that happening, you need to slow down, look around, and somehow anticipate what’s going to happen.

Thanks to YUC Group for letting me cover the entire concert. Amazing performance! Can’t wait for their new album!
